Join Madeline Axtell with The Making Place for an expanded version of the popular "Dance Essentials" class, hosted at Rio Dance Studio.
Madeline's approach to dance is inspiring and welcoming. This workshop will invite participants to explore the core elements of dance: music and movement. Through the basics of rhythm, you’ll embody music and discover movement in a collaborative and joyful setting.
Madeline dances as a journey toward embodiment—a coming home to herself—and she invites students to connect with their physical bodies through movement, wonder, and music. With creative prompts, like embodying the sound of an instrument while listening to jazz, this workshop encourages a deeper awareness of music and movement.
