Maker of the Month offers Artists & Makers the chance to share their passion. This program connects local makers with their community and creates a diverse set of creative workshops/talks throughout the year.
As The Making Place grows into the vision that we have created, "to empower a community driven art scene & enable the local making culture to flourish," it is a priority to provide paid opportunities for Artists & Makers. This is part of what makes Maker of the Month such an exciting accomplishment as it is the first paid programming opportunity offered by The Making Place.
We will select one maker each month to receive a $150 stipend to teach a workshop, lead a group activity or give a talk/ presentation. This maker will also be featured on our social media, website, and in our newsletter.
The Making Place is looking for passionate, creative local artists who are excited to share their skills and stories with our community.
