DJ is a DIY enthusiast who started woodworking as a way to “not buy crappy furniture.”
"To anyone listening, go ahead and put the tool to the piece of wood and don't be afraid of making a mistake and also don't be afraid to scrap things, throw that into the wood stove to heat your shop and start with a new piece and start over. It has to be ok to fail at this thing and get past that."
"At the core is that DIY ethos and providing for yourself and providing enough that you've got some to share with your community and I guess that has never left me so here we are decades later and I'm just trying to do everything I can by myself and hoping I have enough left over for friends and family."
